Administrative Message #87 - Log In Issues
March 13, 2009

I believe that I have found a solution to the ongoing log in issues. If you ever have an issue with logging into the site, make sure that the "Secure your PHPSESSIONs?" is unchecked. My host is looking into why this has become an issue. Unchecking the box will allow you to log into the site. I've unchecked it until a solution is found to alleviate the log in issues. If you can log in with it checked, please do so, if not please uncheck it as it should work.

Update: My host fixed the issue. You can now log in with the box checked. Should that fail, try logging in with it unchecked.

Administrative Message #91 - PTP E-mails Re-Added as an advertising option
March 25, 2009

I have re-added PTP E-mails as an advertising option. I have it set up with targeting options for the United States, US/UK/AU/CA or Tier 1/2. The price per click is higher depending on the target group (ie. it costs more for a United States only targeted click than it does for a Tier 1/2 targeted click).

Administrative Message #92 - AlertPay funds low
March 28, 2009

My AlertPay funds are running low after making a payment this morning. I have less than $10 in my account. I am expecting a payment from a PTC site, however it could be awhile before I actually get it (if I get it).

I've started a small transfer from my bank account to refill my AlertPay account. Also, I have lowered the fee for using AlertPay to purchase ads for the rest of the month, so if you were interested in using AlertPay to pay for an ad, upgrade or affiliate page, now would be a great time.

If you have a choice between AlertPay and PayPal, please choose PayPal if you are cashing out soon as I have enough funds in that account to cover any cash out amount.

Pardon the second interruption today.

I have added a new keyword called "Affiliate Page E-mails Opt In". I will be creating an e-mail option for affiliate pages with a value of 1/100 of a cent. ONLY affiliate pages can be advertised with this option and the duration of the click will be short. To opt in for these e-mails, please go to http://my-ptr.com/pages/userinfo.php , select the new keyword and save the changes.

If you do not wish to receive the affiliate page e-mails with that ad value, you do not have to do anything as it is opt-in. As long as it is unchecked, you are opted out.

My-PTR has been a Tier 1/2 site for awhile now (roughly 2 and a half years), so this shouldn't apply to the majority of the members. This is for the members who may have joined as a promoter or joined before the restrictions were put into place.

"Prohibited transactions are trade or financial transactions and other dealings in which U.S. persons may not engage unless authorized by OFAC from the following:"

Angola, Burma, Cote d'Ivoire, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Liberia, Libya, North Korea, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Syria, Western Balkans (Bosnia & Herzegovina, Albania, Macedonia, Serbia (including Kosovo), and Zimbabwe.

No new promoter accounts will be created for members from those countries. Members from these countries may redeem for ads only.

I'm going through the bounced e-mails and setting those with 5 or more bounced e-mails a day to Site Inbox. If you stop receiving messages to your e-mail address, this is the reason why.

If you have ever sent a message to NoReply@my-ptr.com, please resend it to admin@my-ptr.com or via a support ticket (preferred method). The only purpose for the noreply address is to catch the bounced messages. If you have ever replied to the Click Contest e-mails and not received a response, it is because it comes from the NoReply address, which does not get read. I've edited the default message in the click climbing plugin to be very clear about that point. It has always said to send a support ticket along with the URL for the support ticket page, which is http://my-ptr.com/support

Also, due to at least two dozen members failing both April and May's English test, I will have a second one in May later this month. It will again be an easy "Match the Word" test.

Administrative Message #109 - Turing Numbers
May 9, 2009

Sometime over the next couple of days, I will be enabling turing numbers. I'll use a large and clear font so that there will not be any mistaking which number should be clicked.

Should an account have 50 bad turing numbers clicked in one calendar month, it will be suspended. Bad turing clicks will be reset on the first of each new month after the previous month's bad turing clicks have been reviewed.

I will be adding "Disables Turing Numbers" to the upgrade page as it will be a benefit for the new upgrade levels. The upgrade levels that will have the turing numbers disabled (meaning no turing numbers at all) are: Diamond, Titanium, Platinum II, Gold II, Silver II and Bronze II.

Administrative Message #112 - Old Updated Ads to be changed
May 11, 2009

This change only affects those with the old Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze upgrades and does not apply to the current upgrades that last 6 months or 1 year.

Starting in June, I'll be changing the 1/10 cent ads to PTP ads. A 1/10 cent e-mail to 25 will now be a PTP e-mail to 100. I may combine a couple of the 25 click e-mails to make it a higher click e-mail ad. It will be worth less, but will receive more clicks.

I have two reasons for this. First is that I've received requests for higher e-mail clicks from those with this upgrade type. Second is that I've received complaints that the 25 click ads expire entirely too quickly. This wasn't the case when those ads were introduced, but certainly is a valid complaint today. The last 25 click e-mail that was sent expired 59 minutes after it was created.

I'll adjust the ads before I reset the ads on June 1st to make the changeover as seamless as possible.

This change only affects those with the old Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze upgrades.

Administrative Message #113 - Update
May 12, 2009

I've added a new keyword to the account profile called "Cheap Cash E-mails". E-mails sent to those with this keyword checked won't necessarily be PTP ads as any site can be advertised. For the time being, it will be used for the updated upgraded ads starting next month and may be added as an ad option in the near future.

Also, my AlertPay balance is very low right now (around $5). I have a bank transfer pending, which is showing as pending until May 18th. I have plenty of funds, but they just aren't in the right place at the moment. If anyone purchases an upgrade or an affiliate page with AlertPay between now and the 17th, I'll add 2 months to your time for free. There won't be a special ad option for this...I will note it if and when a page or upgrade is purchased.

My-PTR has added a Flower Room. There is only one link at the moment (my own). I've added several ad options for those that may want to purchase an ad for the room. Any ad is accepted for the Flower Room. It has been linked to the Earning Options menu.

p.s. I moved one of the banners from the top of the page to the bottom until the site clears up whatever is causing it to take an excessive amount of time to load. It should speed up the loading of the site as it won't try to load the banner before loading the rest of the page.
